💙🐾 A Little Message and update from Me 🐾💙 As Bear’s Barking Lot approaches its 1st Birthday on the 24th this month, I’ve found myself reflecting on what an incredible year it’s been. What started as a dream has grown into something so much more, and that’s entirely because of all of you and your beautiful pups. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know not just your dogs, but your families too. Many of you have become so much more than clients, and I truly appreciate the trust and support you’ve shown me since day one. Watching your dogs grow, celebrating milestones, and sharing in their little personalities has been one of the greatest joys of this journey. 💕 As we’ve reached our first birthday, I’ve taken some time to sit down and carefully re-evaluate the business over the past 12 months. After reviewing the increasing costs of products, equipment, ongoing education, and the time involved in providing the one-on-one care that I pride myself on, I’ve made the difficult decision to make a small adjustment to my pricing from the 31ST of JULY. This wasn’t a decision I made lightly, but it’s one that will allow me to continue providing the level of care, attention, and love that every dog deserves when they come through my doors. I completely understand that any price increase can be disappointing & frustrating, and I truly appreciate your understanding and continued support. I am so incredibly grateful for every booking, recommendation, kind word, and wagging tail that’s helped make this first year so special. Thank you for trusting me with your precious family members. 🐾 Bear’s Barking Lot – Appointment Policies & Friendly Reminder 🐾 As many of you know, Bear’s Barking Lot operates on a one-on-one basis. Every appointment time is reserved specifically for your pup, which means late cancellations, no-shows, and late arrivals can significantly impact my small business and other clients waiting for appointments. To ensure things run smoothly for everyone, please take a moment to read through my policies: 🐾 Appointment Confirmations Please confirm your appointment by clicking the link sent out 2 days prior to your booking. If you reply directly to the automated reminder, I may not see your response. Alternatively, you can simply send me a message with a “Yes” or “No.” If confirmation has not been received at least 24 hours before your appointment, your spot may be offered to another client on the waiting list. 🐾 Arrival & Pickup Times As I operate one-on-one appointments, each dog has an allocated time slot. • Please do not arrive early, as there may be anxious or reactive dogs being groomed. • Please arrive on time for pickup. 🐾 Late Arrivals Late arrivals without notice may result in your appointment being rescheduled and/or a fee being applied. 🐾 Late Pickups Late pickups will incur a fee of $15 per 15 minutes after your allocated collection time. 🐾 Cancellations Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled booking will incur a fee of 50% of the booking cost. 🐾 No-Shows Clients who confirm their appointment and then fail to attend without notice will incur a fee of 80% of the booking cost. 🐾 Matting Policy If your dog’s coat is matted and cannot be safely brushed out, it may need to be clipped short for their comfort and wellbeing. Additional dematting/shave-out fees of $15–$30 may apply depending on coat condition. By booking with Bear’s Barking Lot, you are agreeing to the above policies. ✨ Priority After-Hours Appointments Available ✨ Due to high demand, I am now offering a limited number of after-hours grooming appointments for clients who need their dog groomed sooner than my next available booking. These appointments are available outside of normal operating hours and include a $30-$40 after-hours service fee depending on the time. If you’re needing an urgent appointment, please send me a message (or comment) and I’ll let you know if I have an after-hours spot available. 🐾 Perfect for those last minute situations when your pup just can’t wait, also due to being booked til mid July 🫠 Please note I am solo, I’m working 6 days a week and all hours I can! I am doing my very best to keep on top ♥️🙏🏼 I appreciate everyone with patience and understanding.

Matting occurs when a dog’s coat isn’t brushed regularly, causing the hair to become tightly tangled against the skin. This is what it can look like when coats aren’t maintained between grooming appointments. I always aim to leave as much length as possible; however, when a coat is heavily matted, brushing it out is not kind or safe for your dog. In these cases, the only humane option is to clip the coat short to remove the matting and keep your dog comfortable. Please understand that this isn’t the preferred outcome, but it is necessary for your dog’s wellbeing. Regular brushing at home will help prevent matting and allow for longer, fluffier results at future appointments. This is not the pretty side of dog grooming you may see, but it is needed. It isn’t fun to shave your dogs down, they’re hurting with these matt’s🥹

🚨🏝️ SALON CLOSURE April 14th - May 20th 🏝️🚨 Hi My Gorgeous Barking Lot Family🐾🧸💙 After a long and busy season, I’ll be taking a bit of a break to spend some special time away. The salon will be closed from APRIL 14th until MAY 20th while I head off on a long-awaited holiday to Hawaii and Disneyland, a dream trip come true and our first huge holiday! This break means more to me than words can say, and I’m so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. I had my regular visit from all my favs at @lovelockscobberdogs and a surprise visit with Etta to see how she went for her first time at the groomers, Miss Etta is normally quite anxious around anyone besides her favourite Lisa. On this day we wanted to see how she would interact and hoping to get her desensitised whilst watching how her siblings go! This is Suki🐾 This was her very first visit to the groomers, couldn’t tell? She is amazing for pretty much everything! Her mum spent time since the moment she came home getting her prepped for scenarios like this! Making the grooming process a lot less stressful for both Suki and the groomer 🥰🥰 Love seeing them comfortable for their first time !! Good tips getting them used to noises at home like blow drying them on low setting, getting used to touching of their paws, using tools that make clicking noises mimicking nail trims!
